Thank You Susan for 25 Years!

July 2, 2020.

After serving as our fearless leader for nearly 25 seasons, Susan has decided to step down in order to concentrate on her family while taking this opportunity for some well-deserved rest.

From the Executive Board we would like to thank Susan for her passion, dedication and professionalism she brought to the club year after year. During this time, she instructed, inspired and motivated our athletes to reach for their best and perform at levels beyond their personal expectations.

We will miss seeing Susan on deck. Thank you again Susan!

“Susan is a powerhouse in Canadian artistic swimming. A former Olympic team coach, Team Canada athlete, the first coach in artistic swimming to achieve Level 5 coaching certification, a leader within BC Artistic Swimming, with nearly 25 years as the Head Coach of the BC Aquasonics, and a bold voice across the country, Susan has made an indelible mark on the lives of so many athletes, parents, volunteers, and officials. Wherever her new path leads her, it is her vision, drive, and creativity that will undoubtedly ensure she remains a force to be reckoned with. I wish her only great things ahead. “

“I would like to thank Susan for her leadership, her passion, and her always striving for excellence and to be the best you can be no matter what. These traits have impacted and influenced not only my two daughters whom she coached, but myself as well. It was truly a pleasure to work alongside Susan and I wish her all the best in her next chapter. I know she will be greatly missed, however, I’m extremely confident in the legacy she will be leaving.”

We’re all Aquasonics For Life, so we are also excited to announce that Susan will continue to be involved with BCAQ in the capacity of High Performance Consultant, providing support and mentorship to our coaching team and athletes.

As we begin the search for our next Club Head Coach, we’ll be working closely with BC Artistic Swimming and will lean on them for guidance. If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
